Bit Players
Laugh in the New Year with The Bit Players at The Firehouse Theater! Sponsored by What’s Up Newp & Caleb & Broad! There is no better way to bring in the new year than with laughter! Come see RI’s most award-winning comedy troupe, The Bit Players, as they present their annual New Years EVE night of comedy. THREE shows in one night (7pm, 9pm, & 11pm) each one hour long and ALL are BYOB! There will be plenty of NYE favors and extras all night long. Our last show of the night (11pm) will stop a minute or two early to bring in the New Year via our video display with Times Square in NYC. Tickets are $20 each. Brick Alley Pub
Brick Alley Pub will ring in the new year with another edition of their famous New Year’s Eve Wine Dinner. Dinner gets underway at 7 pm, and the evening concludes with late night snacks from 11:30 pm – 12:30 am. Tickets are $89 per person and are available for purchase at Brick Alley Pub, tax and gratuity is included.
Brix Restaurant at Newport Vineyards

We’re waiting on confirming the details but The Fifth Element usually hosts an all inclusive night that includes live music, open bar, party favors, food and more. The cost has historically been $110 per person.
Gas Lamp Grille

Grace Vanderbilt
New Year’s Eve Dinner and Celebration. Grace Vanderbilt is offering two seating’s at 6 pm and 9 pm. The 6 pm seating is $155 per person and the 9 pm is $175 per person. They will have live music from Kristine Wilbur from 6 – 9 pm. After 9 pm, the Dick Lupino band will swing you into the New Year. Guests are welcome to enjoy the Cocktail party in the Conservatory Champagne Lounge from 9 pm -1 am. This will include Champagne at midnight and passed canapes and the cost is $55 per person. Guests coming for dinner have no admission fee.
Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina
Gurney’s Newport celebrates their first New Year’s since opening in summer 2017. Start with a five-course NYE prix-fix menu at Italian hotspot Scarpetta with menu items including local oyster with salmon roe, peperoncino and picked red onion or your choice of pasta like mascarpone cappellacci ($105/person + wine pairing for $45).
Follow your meal with live entertainment, passed hors-d’oeuvres and a 4-hour open bar at the Regent Cocktail Club as you ring in 2018. In addition to the $105/person dinner pairing that starts at 5 pm, there is an 8 pm seating option for $145/person that includes access to the Regent New Year’s Eve party — including a four-hour open bar, passed hors-d’oeuvres and music by DJ Nicole Leone. Do you believe in ghosts? Come and experience a paranormal investigation for yourself! Newport Mystical Society invites you to join them on December 31st when the Newport Elks Lodge gives them access to their often locked and private third floor. This location has a rich and unique history before your investigation you will have a chance to hear more of the details. As a preview of the location’s past, it is on the site where The Atlantic House Hotel once stood which was home to the first public roller skating rink in the US and to the Naval Academy during the Civil War. Fast forward a bit and Parkgate was built and used as a summer home for the Stitt family and then the Countess Annie Leary. Ready to hear more? One Pelham East
Get the best of both worlds when you take part in the legendary One Pelham East New Year’s Eve Party. This year one of their favorite house bands, Party Girl, will be performing on the Main Stage and Kariim Hafez will be spinning in the Bayou Bar. Both the band and the DJ will start at 10 pm. Watch the ball drop live on TV and dance the night away to top 40 covers performed by the band or dance hits spun by Kariim. Tickets available HERE for $25 or $30 night of at door.
Saltwater at The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina
Ring in the New Year at Saltwater! Saltwater’s menu features shareable items such as our Lobster Boil, which includes a 1 1/4 lb. Lobster, N.E. Steamers, Little Necks, New Potatoes, Corn on the Cob & Corn Bread, will be available on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Saltwater is serving breakfast from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. and our all-day menu is available 11 am 10 pm with the bar available until 1 a.m. Dinner guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne with their entrée to celebrate the New Year! Saltwater is also available for private events including family gatherings, business meetings, bridal showers, and weddings from 20 – 100 guests!
