As the middle of October approaches in Newport a spooky wind sweeps in and strange things begin to go bump in the night.

1 – Olde Town Ghost Walk
Tours depart nightly at 8 p.m.

2 – Carved In Stone Tour
Saturdays in October at 4 p.m.
Carved in Stone is a 90-minute walking tour of the Common Burying Ground, Newport Rhode Island’s oldest and largest colonial burying ground.
See interesting grave carvings, discover the final resting place of Newport’s famous and infamous souls and journey back to the early days of Newport, where the oldest known graves dates to 1672. The souls of the Common Burying Ground have been waiting to see you, some for 300 years!

3 – Fortress Of Nightmares
October 13-14, 20 -21 & 27-28
Fortress Of Nightmares, Newport’s premier haunted attraction, will return to Fort Adams State Park for six nights this October. 5 – Mystery at the Museum – Sleuth’s Symposium
October 14 & 21
It’s 2017, and television is filled with programming about public and private investigators, crime scene technicians, forensic scientists and psychological profilers. Each year, a conference is hosted where real life investigators connect with television producers to pitch ideas for new shows. But someone has planned something more sinister and after locking everyone in the museum, a series of events is triggered and you must solve the case before time runs out! Shows at 7 pm. 6 – Escape The Haunted Warehouse
Escape the Haunted Warehouse Fall Festival will take place at Naval Station Newport on Saturday, October 21st from 2 pm – 6 p.m. Arts & crafts, Halloween themed food, and lots of fun! …If you can, take a walk through the Haunted Warehouse…and TRY to escape! 7 – Haunted Brewery & Distillery

The Newport Storm Brewery & Newport Distilling presents haunted brewery and distillery tours! Join them on Friday, October 27th through Sunday, October 29th for a night of fright, craft beer, and spooky cocktails. 8 – Haunted Tales on Rose Island
Head to Rose Island for a spooky evening of haunted tales on Sunday, October 29, 20, 7 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Registration includes boat ride on the Rum Runner II departing at 3:00 PM from Bannister’s Wharf. Refreshments included. Don’t forget to dress warm! More Info
