On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Newport Police Department will hold an open house and information session for the Newport Police Explorer program at the
Newport Police Station Assembly Room, 120 Broadway. The Explorer Program is open to all

The Explorer Program is open to all male and female students ages 14-20. Classes will be held every other Wednesday night.

Throughout the program, Explorers can expect to be exposed to a variety of topics including a Law Enforcement firearms simulator, DUI enforcement and motor vehicle stops to name a few. Newport Police Officers and returning Explorers will be present to discuss the program and answer any questions.
