Portsmouth is the best city to buy a home in Rhode Island thanks to its solid median household income, according to a story published on Business Insider on January 2nd by GOBankingRates.

GOBankingRates.com determined the best city to buy a home in every state, taking into account various factors, including school districts, property tax bills, home prices and incomes.

The author reports that home values grew in Portsmouth by about 11 percent in the past year, and Zillow predicts it will rise more than 3 percent within the next year.
