Breakfast with Santa on the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad Co. 10 a.m. Bring the children for a fun and unique breakfast on the train as you take a ride with Santa! Choose from pancakes, French toast, or scrambled eggs with sides of bacon, sausage, or home fries. There will be milk and juice for the kids and coffee and tea for the adults. The all table car train is limited to only 60 seats. During the trip children will have the opportunity to go to another car and sit with Santa. The Breakfast with Santa train ride is approximately one hour and 30 minutes in length. The train departs from downtown Newport. Tickets:$29.50 all ages. The Train to Santa’s Workshop on the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railorad Co. 4 p.m. Hop on board the Express Train for a magical journey to Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole. Upon arrival you’ll be able to get off and visit with Santa in a special old-fashioned parlor car, where children can visit and tell him what they want for Christmas. While you are waiting there will be sing-a-longs and other attractions going on in the workshop. Each group of passengers will have about 45 minutes to spend with Santa and his elves in the workshop before catching the next train back. Trains are limited to 80 people. Tickets $39.50 all ages. December 6th, 8th, 13th & 15th
The Newport Fire & Police Departments will, again, be assisting Santa Claus to tour the neighborhoods of Newport. He will be visiting our area on four nights from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. He plans on riding with us through the streets to see the City’s children on Tuesday December 6th, Thursday December 8th, Tuesday December 13th and finishing up on Thursday December 15th.
Santa’s visit is weather dependent, so if there is inclement weather on any night he is scheduled he will do his very best to complete his visit in that area of the City on the night of Friday December 16th.
