Football fans are invited to an autograph and photo opportunity with three of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders at Hotel Viking on September 15, 2016.

Cheerleaders will be at Hotel Viking from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. Sept. 15 to pose for photos and autograph posters and copies of the 2017 New England Patriots Cheerleader Swimsuit Calendar. All proceeds from calendar sales at the event will benefit the benefit the Potter League for Animals.

“We invited the New England Patriots Cheerleaders to Hotel Viking to kick-off the season and promote their 2017 Swimsuit Calendar in Newport,” said Rob Burnetti, general manager, Hotel Viking, “Since the cheerleaders have such a strong history of participating in animal rescue initiatives we knew the Potter League was the right non-profit to partner with for this event.”

This isn’t the first time the Pat’s cheerleaders have kicked in to support pet adoption and rescue efforts. For the past two years, squad members have joined Animal Planet and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Animals at Road to the Puppy Bowl, an annual pet adoption event leading up to Animal Planet’s wildly popular Puppy Bowl. Since its kick-off in 2005, the Puppy Bowl has resulted in hundreds of pet adoptions while advocating responsible pet ownership.

Football fans can enjoy libations at Top of Newport, Hotel Viking’s rooftop bar and kitchen, and a full menu of cocktails, ice-cold brews, and culinary favorites. Dinner reservations can be made in advance by calling One Bellevue at 401-848-4824.

A representative from the Potter League for Animals, and a few adoptable pets, will be on hand at the event to answer questions about pet adoption and resident companion animals currently available for placement. During the event (6 p.m. – 8 p.m.), Hotel Viking invites patrons to Top of Newport, Hotel Viking’s rooftop bar, to enjoy the view, meet three New England Patriots Cheerleaders, and support the Potter League for Animals through purchases of the 2017 calendar, a raffle, and a pop-up Potter League shop (table) where pet lovers can purchase pet supplies and more.
