King Park will be filled with the beautiful sounds of Gospel music on Saturday, August 13, 2016 as the Come Alive Gospel Music Fest celebrates its 5th anniversary.

The soulful music of soloist Kenneth Robinson and the Community Baptist Church Gospel Choir of Newport will lift the audience with their powerful sounds. Performances this year will also include the Brockton Teen Challenge Choir, and Lorena Grace with the Evangelical Friends Church (EFC) Newport Worship Team.

“For five years we have successfully brought amazing performances to the waterfront to share the joy of Gospel music,” said event producer Eileen Daffron. “There is no fee to attend this festival and parking is plentiful.  We have families bringing their lawn chairs and picnic baskets joining us for this afternoon event. It’s an amazing time of community and fellowship on the banks of Newport Harbor.”

Event speakers will include host Senior Pastor Paul Hoffman from EFC Newport, the 2016 Gospel Music Fest Sponsor, as well as Oscar Cruz, Director of the Teen Challenge Brockton Men’s Campus.

The Come Alive Gospel Music Fest will include a children’s tent, giveaway table and         prayer partners from participating churches EFC Newport, Community Baptist Church Newport, Crosspoint Church Newport and Graceway Church Middletown. The event will be held from

11 am to 3 pm, rain or shine.

EFC Newport is a contemporary Christian church located at 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown RI.          For more information call 401-847-1490 or visit
