Franklin Spa on Spring Street in Newport has landed itself a national media mention.

Mallory Shaner, writer for Spoon University on MSN, recently asked residents from each of the 50 states (and DC) where their personal favorite diner was growing up (and even now).

The list “Local Guide to the Best Diners Across America” includes one diner in each state, Franklin Spa represents Rhode Island.
