The Opera House Theater & Performing Arts Center (Newport Opera House) will host a Community Open House on Sunday, May 15th from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Newport Opera House recently received its first check for $1,016,800 in cultural bond grants passed by Rhode Island voters in 2014, and construction will begin soon on the historic property.
Before they close for the restoration, the Newport Opera House invites the public to visit on Sunday, May 15th for the opportunity to take a tour of the Opera House Theater, view their drawings and plans for restoration and learn more about the possibilities for year round programming and performances on their stage in downtown Newport.
Refreshments will be served.
The Newport Opera House is located at 19 Touro Street.
