There’s no shortage of anticipation throughout Newport as everyone awaits the 60th Annual Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade. No matter what mother nature has to give us New Englanders, we can all rely on Newport Storm Brewery to get us through with their Spring Irish Red Ale flowing into everyone’s glasses from Newport to Pawtucket. Perfect for winter or spring, this brew is bursting with roasted hazelnut flavors and has a mild hop finish thanks to hops imported from the UK. You can’t get more Irish than that!

Parade day is set for Saturday March 12th come rain or come shine, but for those ready to get the celebrations going be sure to check out the Storm Pint Night fundraisers that will kick off a full week before Newporters paint the town green!

[contextly_auto_sidebar] “We always look forward to partnering with the parade committee to craft these pint nights into a phenomenal means of fundraising for a time honored Newport tradition,” says Clare Simpson-Daniel, PR Coordinator of Newport Storm, “With this year being the big 6-0, we hope to up the ante from last year’s numbers and raise $4000 for the parade fund!”.
So how can you get in on this sham-rockin’ good time and help reach this goal? Set your calendars for a week of celebration in honor of the parade! When you visit each pint night and order Storm’s Spring Irish Red Ale, the commemorative parade day glass it’s served in is yours to keep, and $2 of the purchase will go right to the parade! Pints will also be on sale “as is” for $5, which also goes to the parade, but you might as well fill’er up!

Kicking things off on March 6th, The Wharf Pub in Newport will host an afternoon filled with fresh Irish Red on tap and the chance to meet members of the Parade committee! The O’Brien’s Pub, Busker’s and Midtown Oyster Bar are just some of the other partnering Pint Night spots you can venture to throughout the week, to quench your thirst and show your support for the parade!
