As the year draws to a close, USA TODAY 10Best is looking for the best new hotels, restaurants and travel apps of 2015.

While Newport didn’t have a new restaurant or new travel app land on the list, Gilded did catch the eye of 10Best editors and travel experts for Best New Hotel.

Gilded, a recently reopened 17-room boutique in Newport, uses styles of the Gilded Age, like Rococo and Beaux Arts, and gives them a bold and quirky twist. Gold accents and ornate decor pair with a daring jewel tone palette for a uniquely Newport experience. Guests can play mixologist at the BYOB mixer bar, stocked with mixers and modifiers, or play a game of billiards on a velvet pool table.

Vote Gilded For Best New Hotel

Vote once per day in each category until polls close on Monday, December 7 at noon ET.

Gilded is located at 23 Brinley Street in Newport, RI and online at www.gildedhotel.com.
