  • (CIN) Christmas at Newport Mansions, November 21 – January 6th. Three magnificently decorated houses adorned with period-inspired ornaments, elaborate yuletide decorations, fresh flowers, trees, wreaths and garlands. The Breakers & The Elms 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Marble House 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Admission. All three houses $29.49 adult, $9 children 6-17 yrs. Sunday, November 22nd

  • Polar Express, The Polar Express Train Ride on the Newport & Narragansett Bay Railroad runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 20th through to Christmas. Trains depart each night at 4:30 and 6:30pm. On Saturday, December 5th, 12th, and 19th, trains depart at 4:30, 6:30, and 8:00pm. Each trip is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long. All of our cars are heated and protected from the winter elements. www.newportpolarexpress.com
  • 2nd Annual Pop-Up Sale, 10am – 2pm at Hibernian Hall. Unique gifts for your friends and family, all in one place, supporting locals, and a full bar to enjoy a beverage while you shop. Christmas shopping doesn’t get better than this!

Thursday, November 26th

  • The Pie Run, Newport County YMCA. This annual event put on by the YMCA is a certified and generally flat course. Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the race that will be donated to a local food bank. More Info

Friday, November 27th

  • Holidays By The Sea Opens, November 27th and run through December 31st. Holidays By The Sea encourages folks to dine, shop, explore and stay local during the holiday season.  Visit www.NewportChamber.com/Holidays by the Sea.

  • Newport Harbor Illuminated Boat Parade, The Newport Illuminated Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season with boats decorated with festive holiday decor and lights. The boats motor through the harbor and compete for best decorated in various categories. The parade begins at 6:15pm and can be viewed from various spots around the harbor. After the parade, the awards are presented at the Newport Yacht Club where light refreshments will be served.
  • Bowen’s Wharf Block Party, The waterfront at Bowen’s Wharf offers exceptional views of the City of Newport’s Illuminated Boat Parade starting at 6:15pm. The Bowen’s Wharf unique boutiques and restaurants will be offering free hot cider, in-store specials and good karma sales alongside live music while the flotilla motors past. All are invited to meander through the waterfront and local businesses from 5-8pm, rain or snow, just dress the part! More Info
