Happy Halloween Weekend! There’s plenty of great reasons to get out in Newport (with or without a costume) this weekend, here’s what’s happening for events, activities and things to do!

Here’s where to find live music and entertainment this Halloween Weekend!
1 – Family Friendly Freaky Funnies
Friday at 6:30pm (Normal hilarious show at 8pm)
Join The Bit Players as they present a show for the kids the night before Halloween. This event is for the whole family! Get the kids dressed up (and yourself) for a fun filled comedy show with FREE CANDY! The Bit Players are doing a special discounted ticket price for this show, parents $10 and kids are just $5!. The show will be an hour and is BYOB for adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
All guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as shows (especially special events like this) do often sell out. Tickets are $10/adult, $5/child! Show will start at 6:30pm, doors will open at 6:00pm.

2 – Yoga Collaboration Celebration
Saturday at 5:30pm
To celebrate the recent collaboration between Long Time Sun and Thames Street Yoga, Thames Street Yoga will host a free, live music yoga class on Friday, October 30th from 5:30 – 7 pm led by Patti Doyle, and singer Andi Flax, followed by a gong bath by Kyla Maher. A welcome party, which coincides with the first anniversary of Long Time Sun, will commence at 7 pm. Reservations for the class are required and may be made at www.thamesstreetyoga.com.
3 – Final Day for The Canfield House Restaurant
Saturday, October 31
The Canfield House Restaurant, one of the longest-running restaurants in Newport, will join the growing list of long-time restaurants that will permanently close in 2015 after they close permanently after business on Saturday. Stop by and enjoy one last drink or dish.
4 – Halloween Hilarity
Saturday at 8pm, 9:30pm, & 11pm
Join The Bit Players as they present their annual Halloween night of laughs and giveaways! In addition to the usual BYOB there will be a costume contest for all those that come dressed up.
You can win gift certificates to local restaurants. You will also receive a discount on your ticket price if you wear a costume. And it’s Halloween, so of course there will be FREE CANDY!!
3 shows, 1 night, each show will be an hour and no two shows are ever the same so see more than one if you want to have some EXTRA LAUGHS! Give them a call and they will give you a deal on multiple shows. (401) 849-3473.

5 – Launch Party For Car Crazy
Saturday at 2pm at Pell Center
Join Car Crazy: The latest book by G. Wayne Mill…for an afternoon of good company, fine refreshments, a reading, a signing, and a display of antique cars. Free and open to the public.
6 – Taste Of Newport
Sunday at 5pm at Hotel Viking
Join Child & Family for the 32nd annual Taste of Newport. Two Experiences: Enjoy the Taste Experience by sampling the culinary delights of 30 + restaurants while perusing and bidding on over 100 silent auction items or take your Taste Experience to the next level with an elegant seated dining adventure, the Dine Experience.
