1 – Remembering 9/11 Attacks | Friday
September 11, 2015 will mark 14 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the New York City, Washington D.C. and the United States. There are ceremonies planned at the Naval War College and Salve Reina University to remember those lost and to commemorate the anniversary. MORE INFO
2 – Newport Fall Secret Garden Tour | Friday – Sunday
Enjoy self-guided walking tours of private gardens located in historic Newport, Rhode Island. Each tour features about a dozen beautiful gardens. The tours run daily from 10am-5pm and tickets are good for any or all days of the tour, allowing for inclement weather, schedule conflicts, or just a late start. MORE INFO
3 – Dueling Pianos | Friday & Saturday
You’ll sing, you’ll cheer, you’ll laugh but more than that, you’ll be entertained. This one-of-a-kind experience has been sweeping the nation and has finally come to Newport at the new, improved and famed Studio 3 Venue. 4 – Sail Newport Blind National Championships | Saturday & Sunday
Sail Newport will host the 2015 Blind National Championships on Saturday and Sunday, the regatta will feature two days of great racing between Rose and Goat Islands. MORE INFO
5 – Free Concerts at Long Wharf | Saturday from 1pm – 5pm
The Shops at Long Wharf host a free concert from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday afternoon with Ramos and Phillips.
6 – Newport International Polo Series | Saturday at 4pm
The final month of the 2015 Newport International Polo Series in Portsmouth has sadly arrived! Catch the New England Challenge on Saturday starting 4pm. MORE INFO
7 – Screening of ‘Sense The Wind’ | Saturday
8 – Children’s Casting for Nutcracker at Rosecliff | Saturday
Children’s Cast Audition for The Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff will be held on Saturday, September 12th at Island Moving Company. MORE INFO
9 – Forty 1 North Presents Patrick Feury | Saturday
Chef Feury has been named one of the country’s top culinary talents by Best Chefs America, awarded the four bells by Philadelphia Inquirer and featured in Esquire, Wine Spectator, Philadelphia Daily News and Philadelphia Magazine. MORE INFO
10 – Zombie Walk Newport | Saturday at 8pm
Bring your best zombie costumes and makeup and take a stroll through downtown Newport for the first ever Zombie Walk Newport. We will be walking the length of Thames Street chomping on brains. Message me for any details. We will be meeting at Rogers High School (we have the whole parking lot so parking isnt an issue) parking lot around 6:00 – 6:30pm to go over guidelines, as well as participate in our zombie raffle, and hear from a speaker or two. 11 – Climb The Miantonomi Tower | Sunday From 10am – 1pm
On Sundays throughout the month of September, the Miantonomi Tower in Miantonomi Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. allowing visitors to climb to the highest point on Aquidneck Island. MORE INFO
12 – StarRide | Sunday
Cluny School will host the 4th annual StarRide with six gorgeous routes to choose from in the Ocean Drive area, it’s a fun filled run, ride or walk event fit for the entire family. More Info
13 – Harvest Wine Run | Sunday
The Harvest Wine Run is a unique race for Rhode Island that combines a running event with a wine tasting at the Newport Vineyards. The race will be held when the vineyard is in full bloom and the grapes are ready for harvest. More Info
14 – TriNewport | Sunday
Starting at Second Beach, enjoy as a participant or in a team relay a 1/4 mile ocean swim, 10.5 mile bike ride and 3.1 mile run. More Info
15 – Joe Martins Tribue | Sunday from 1pm – 5pm
Newport City Limits Magazine and Bigcatblues Newport produce a celebration of the life of Joe Martins on Sepetember 13th at the Newport Blues Cafe, 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Please join us for music, stories and a celebration. Everyone is welcome! MORE INFO
