Country star Jerrod Niemann recently released a new single titled “Blue Bandana“, not only has the single had the biggest impact on Niemann’s career but it also includes an ode to Newport and the Newport Folk Festival.
Lyrics from the song include “She’s my Bonnaroo baby, she’s Coachella crazy, She’ll be folkin’ out in Newport, You’ve probably seen her before..”
What does Newport Folk Festival think about the song? “We heard it about a week before the festival, and it hooked into our frontal lobes. While not really our cup of tea and at first listen we all sort of laughed, but we’ll be the first to admit that song is damn catchy,” Newport Folk Festival told the What’sUpNewp Crew.

“Blue Bandana,” which Niemann produced with friend Jimmie Lee Sloas, is the first taste of the innovative singer-songwriter’s fourth album.
