AOH Pipes & Drums, Men’s Singers to perform at our 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on March 16th

Join What’sUpNewp on Friday, March 16th at Midtown Oyster Bar for our 3rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, an event to celebrate Irish music and our Irish community.

The event will include Midtown Oyster Bar’s take on Irish food,  live music and performances from Newport Ancient Order of Hibernian’s Pipes and Drums and AOH Men’s Singers, a live broadcast from AM 1540 WADK Newport, and more.

The Newport R.I. Ancient Order of Hibernian Division1 Pipes and Drums is a Grade V member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association. They are based out of Newport, R.I. and have members from Rhode Island and Massachusetts. They are an award-winning band that participates in private functions and parades throughout the northeast.

While there is no cover charge and the event is open to all ages, we do encourage folks to get to the event early as the restaurant does historically fill up for the performances.

Tentative Schedule Of Events:

  • 12 pm to 4 pm – What’sUpNewp Radio Edition will be broadcasting live on AM 1540 WADK Newport from Midtown Oyster Bar
  • 4 pm to 8 pm – Performances from AOH Men’s Singers and AOH Pipes and Drums
