NEWPORT — Three acclaimed musicians will take the stage at The JPT Film & Event Center this fall as part of a concert series presented by Spectacle Live.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through JanePickens.com or by calling 1-800-657-8774.

Vertical Horizon kicks off the series Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. The band, founded in the early 1990s as a duo, achieved massive commercial success after signing with RCA in 1999. Their album “Everything You Want” sold more than 2 million copies, with the title track reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts. The song became the most-played single of 2000.

The band also earned radio success with “You’re a God,” which reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Adult Chart, and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning),” which became a top 20 country hit for Gary Allan in 2005.

Leo Kottke performs Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m. The guitarist has been captivating audiences for more than 50 years with his signature fingerpicking style that draws from jazz, blues and folk music. Despite facing personal challenges including partial hearing loss and tendon damage in his right hand that nearly ended his career, Kottke has recorded more than a dozen critically acclaimed albums and earned two Grammy nominations.

Richard Thompson closes the series Saturday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. Thompson co-founded the influential group Fairport Convention as a teenager in the 1960s, helping to invent British folk rock. He has received lifetime achievement awards from the BBC Radio 2 Awards and the Americana Music Association, and was honored with the prestigious Ivor Novello Award. TIME Magazine named his song “1952 Vincent Black Lightning” one of the “100 Greatest Songs Since 1923.”
