The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority will implement lane restrictions on the Bristol approach to the Mount Hope Bridge beginning Sunday as part of ongoing construction work.

Traffic will alternate in a single lane during four scheduled periods over the next week:

— Sunday, July 27, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday — Monday, July 28, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tuesday
— Tuesday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Wednesday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We understand that this project may result in delays, and we appreciate drivers’ patience,” said Lori Caron Silveira, executive director of the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority. “We apologize for any inconvenience and are grateful for everyone’s cooperation as we complete this work.”

The authority advised motorists to plan accordingly, expect potential delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Updates are available on the authority’s social media accounts at @RIEZPASS on X and by searching “Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority” on Facebook.
