The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County (ACA) is gearing up for its annual Raise Up the Arts event on June 25, 2025. The celebration will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wyndham Newport Hotel in Middletown.

Guests can look forward to an evening of live music and tasty bites, along with the presentation of four awards that shine a spotlight on local talent and contributions to the arts community.

This year’s honorees include Portsmouth High School graduate Aidan Chen, who’ll receive the Tinney Family Arts Scholarship. Revka Hovermale of “Revka Dance” is set to take home the 2025 Artist Award. Elizabeth Delude-Dix will be recognized with the Dominique Award, while Newport musician Chelley Knight will be honored with the LeRoy White ‘Soul & Conscience’ Award.

The event is open to everyone and features a silent auction to raise funds. Attendees can bid on a variety of exciting prizes, including tickets to Newport String Project, the Audrain Car Museum, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Other items up for grabs include tickets to a Newport Classical Concert featuring Karen Slack and the African Queens, Preservation Society membership, and flex passes to the Newport Contemporary Ballet Summer Festival.

Raise Up the Arts will be held in the Atlantic Pavilion at the Wyndham Newport Hotel on Aquidneck Ave. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased through the ACA website at www.newportarts.org.

This yearly celebration is a key fundraiser for the ACA, helping support its ongoing mission to promote and advance the arts in Newport County throughout the year.
