Main Street Hospitality Group is set to open Island House Newport this March, expanding its portfolio of managed properties in New England.

The new establishment, located at 37 Memorial Boulevard, aims to “provide a refined yet approachable luxury experience in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island”.

Sarah Eustis, CEO of Main Street Hospitality Group, announced the opening in an email to subscribers of Main Street Hospitality marketing emails, expressing excitement about the addition to their collection of properties.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Island House Newport this March, as the newest addition to our collection of extraordinary places that are at the heart of their communities,” Eustis said.

The property offers elegant suites furnished with fully equipped kitchens, dining and living spaces, catering to extended stays and group gatherings. A unique feature of Island House Newport is its flexible room configurations, allowing guests to combine connecting rooms, suites, or even penthouses.

Taylor Lesandrini will serve as General Manager, while John Harrison is the point of contact for those planning weddings, family reunions, or business events, according to Eustis.

Eustis says that the establishment’s location near Newport’s iconic destinations positions it as an ideal base for various types of travelers, including Newport enthusiasts, families, groups, and business travelers.

According to the Main Street Hospitality Group website, Island House Newport features 24 rooms categorized as “Luxe Suites.” The property is a partnership with Marshall Properties, Inc.

The property’s fully equipped kitchens in each suite cater to guests seeking more home-like amenities during their stays, a feature that has gained popularity in recent years.

The March 13 opening will coincide with the annual Newport Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, which is set for March 15. The best available rates for opening weekend range from $195 – $435 per night, excluding taxes and fees.

Main Street Hospitality Group already has a presence in Newport, managing Hammetts Hotel.
