A Little Compton waterfront estate has sold for $6.5 million, marking the highest sale in the town since November 2020, according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, which represented the sellers.

The property, located at 21 Atlantic Drive, was sold by the Cooke family, who had owned it for four generations, according to the real estate agency. The home was offered for the first time in 123 years.

The buyers were represented by Deborah Ladd of Lila Delman Compass.

“I’m honored that my clients chose me to manage the marketing and sale of their very special family property,” said Cherry Arnold, the Mott & Chace Sotheby’s agent who represented the sellers. “The buyers are extremely fortunate to be taking over the stewardship of this unparalleled Warrens Point jewel.”

The sale is the fifth highest in Newport County for 2024, according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s. Arnold has represented the buyers or sellers in the top four sales in Little Compton this year, the agency said.

The property features panoramic ocean views, a spacious living area with floor-to-ceiling windows, coastal gardens, sprawling lawns and an outdoor covered patio.
