At the end of his first term in Congress, Rep. Seth Magaziner touted a bipartisan record that includes key legislation he sponsored to help working families, improve national security and defend democracy.

“When I ran for Congress, I said I would work with anyone, from either party, to deliver results for Rhode Island,” Magaziner said in a statement. “In my first term in office, I am pleased to announce that I have built bipartisan support for key legislation I have introduced that will improve the lives of working people in our state and across the nation.”

Magaziner cited passage of the Domenic and Ed’s Law, which allows a parent whose child develops a total and permanent disability to be eligible for a student loan discharge, as well as the Contingency Plan for Critical Infrastructure Act, which he co-sponsored with Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) to require federal agencies to conduct assessments of critical infrastructure operations to better prepare for and respond to cyberattacks.

“I am pleased that in my first term in office, I have been able to build bipartisan support for key legislation that will improve the lives of working people in Rhode Island and across the country,” Magaziner said.
