NEWPORT STRING PROJECT

The Newport String Project will present its fourth installment of its Newport County Concert Series on Saturday, April 27th, at Colony House in Newport, and Sunday, April 28th, at United Congregational Church in Little Compton, featuring its resident ensemble, the Newport String Quartet, performing works by Peter Arnold Heise, Edvard Grieg, and Kian Ravaei.

The concert will include a performance of a recently rediscovered string quartet by Danish composer Peter Arnold Heise alongside Edvard Grieg’s Nordic masterpiece, String Quartet No 1 in g minor. It will also feature “The Little Things” (2023), a musical homage to Emily Dickinson by Iranian-American composer Kian Ravaei.
