The Rhode Island Department of State announced today that the last day for eligible Rhode Island voters to apply for a mail ballot for the Presidential Preference Primary is Thursday, March 12, 2024.

Registered voters can apply for a mail ballot by mail or through the RI Department of State’s online mail ballot application portal at vote.ri.gov. The online application is available in English and in Spanish. Voters who request a mail ballot will also receive a physical, printed ballot.

To vote by mail, voters must be registered Rhode Island voters with a valid Rhode Island-issued driver’s license or State identification card. In-person voting is available from March 13 through April 1, and on Primary Day, April 2. All voters can find important information and deadlines online at https://vote.sos.ri.gov/forms/elections/ElectionPage/PPPEng.html.
