Newport Contemporary Ballet’s spring repertory performance, Shifting Light,  includes a strikingly diverse program with work ranging from beautiful, neo-classical ballet to powerful contemporary dance. Shifting Light includes four world premiere works by choreographers Kristopher Estes-Brown, Caroline Dahm, Janice Rosario, and NCB’s Artistic Director, Danielle Genest.

Shifting Light will also include continued participation in the national Arpino Centennial Celebration to honor the 100th birthday of Gerald Arpino, Co-founder of the Joffrey Ballet and one of the 20th century’s most influential artists. NCB will again perform the pas de deux from Light Rain.

“As the light shifts, new thoughts and perspectives are revealed. We see each other differently and begin to understand each other better.”

-Danielle Genest, NCB Artistic Director

Newport Contemporary Ballet presents Shifting Light on March 14-16, 22, and 23 at 7:30pm at the Keats Theatre at St. Andrews School in Barrington.
