Barbie

The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center (The JPT) is bringing back one of the most popular movies of the year, Barbie, for one night on Thursday, February 8 at 7:30 PM.

The Barbie screening, dubbed the “Barbie Pink Party,” will feature three specialty pink cocktails at The JPT bar, allowing guests to enjoy a themed drink as they watch one of this year’s most iconic films. The JPT will also have a spot decked out in all things Barbie for guests to take pictures.

Barbie, the two-time Golden Globe winner, including Best Picture and 8-time Oscar-nominated film, tells the story of Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans. More information on Barbie and tickets here.

This summer, The JPT screened Barbie, celebrating opening night with a Pink Barbie Party. The success of the Pink Barbie Party made Barbie one of the most popular movies ever shown at The JPT.

“In recent years, The JPT has adapted to expand and diversify its offerings to make going to see a movie at a theater worth it as the number of streaming services continues to grow,” said Alex Whitney, General Manager at The JPT. I am excited to bring the Pink Barbie Party back to The JPT for Barbie lovers and first-timers to get the opportunity to watch one of this year’s most acclaimed movies alongside a selection of delicious pink cocktails.”

Guests are encouraged to dress up in pink or wear their favorite Barbie or Ken inspired outfit.
