Newport Classical’s chamber series continues next month with two concerts at Newport Classical Recital Hall, 42 Dearborn St., both at 7:30 p.m.

Nov. 6: Michael Leonardo Davidman

Davidman, winner of the 2025 American Piano Awards, makes his Newport debut with a program spanning Bach, Schubert, Franck and Liszt.

He has appeared as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Indianapolis Symphony and has taken prizes at the Long-Thibaud Competition and the Juilliard Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. A longtime opera enthusiast, he posts historical and rare opera recordings on his YouTube channel and frequently accompanies singers.

His appearance is supported by Dr. William and Susan Kleinman, the American Piano Awards and the Alphadyne Foundation.

Nov. 20: Raphaël Feuillâtre

The French guitarist performs “Latin Passions,” a program drawing on Spain and Latin America with works by Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albéniz, Miguel Llobet, Agustín Barrios, Antonio Lauro, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Astor Piazzolla and Sérgio Assad.

Feuillâtre won first prize at the Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition and signed with Deutsche Grammophon in 2022, becoming the first guitarist in many years on the label.

Complimentary wine from Gold’s Wine and Spirits is served at intermission, and audiences are invited to a reception with the artists at The Brenton Hotel afterward, with complimentary wine and charcuterie and additional food and drink for purchase.

Both musicians will also visit Newport-area schools to perform for and speak with students through Newport Classical’s Music Enrichment and Engagement Initiative.

Up next before those dates: the Rasa String Quartet performs “Portraits of an American Patchwork” on Friday, Oct. 23.
