The Preservation Society of Newport County has released the newest installment of “Sessions,” its live music video series filmed inside the Newport Mansions, featuring Nashville Americana duo Golden Everything performing at Chepstow.
Golden Everything is wife-and-husband Jackie Berkley and Zach Schmidt. The duo performed “Spare Me,” from their 2024 album “Sweet Old World,” and “Oak Tree,” from the acoustic EP “Down Time,” released July 7, 2026, according to the Preservation Society. They also played two previously unreleased songs, “Wide Awake” and “The Real Thing.”
Each “Sessions” episode is recorded live and acoustic with no audience, in a single take, using a single condenser microphone positioned to pick up the acoustics of the room, according to the Preservation Society.
The video is available on the Newport Mansions YouTube channel.
Chepstow, a Bellevue Avenue house built in 1860, is one of the Preservation Society’s less-visited properties. It is scheduled to open weekends during the organization’s holiday display, Nov. 21 through Jan. 3.
