Will Henry, the Jamestown cartoonist behind the nationally syndicated comic strip “Wallace the Brave,” will give a live drawing and conversation at the Community College of Rhode Island on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The event, called “Between the Panels,” runs from 6 to 7 p.m. at the CCRI Library on the Knight Campus, 400 East Ave., Warwick. It is free and open to the public.

Henry will discuss how he became a professional cartoonist and how he turns everyday observations into characters, and will draw live, according to CCRI. The hour ends with a question-and-answer session, and attendees are invited to bring “Wallace the Brave” books for Henry to sign.

The event is presented by the CCRI Library, with refreshments provided by the Charles Sullivan Fund for Arts & Humanities.
