The Broadway Street Fair returns Saturday, Oct. 10, from noon to 6 p.m., closing six blocks from Equality Park to Washington Square for a free afternoon of music, food, art and local vendors.
More than 15,000 people attended last year, and organizers say they expect 20,000 this year. The fair is in its ninth year and won Newport Life Magazine’s Best of Newport County award for best festival.
New this year are a photo booth and a video stage truck midway along Broadway near Chomp Kitchen. Rhode Island musician Mark Cutler and his band Men of Great Courage will perform.
“We continue to enhance the Broadway Street Fair experience every year,” said David Lopes, the fair’s music producer.
Vendor registration is full, with a waitlist open on the fair’s website. People’s Credit Union returns as presenting sponsor for a third year.
