The Rhode Island Board of Elections has certified the results of the Sept. 9 primary after completing one recount and two rereads, none of which changed an outcome.
Staff conducted a reread of electronic data from election night memory devices in the Republican gubernatorial primary, which showed no change. Aaron Guckian is the winner.
A recount of physical ballots in the Providence City Council Ward 9 primary gave candidate Juan Pichardo two additional votes. He remains the winner.
A reread in the Ward 4 Providence City Council primary also produced no change, with Justin Roias the winner.
Statewide turnout was 20.09 percent.
