Newport Polo hosts Jamaica at BD Field on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 5 p.m., the 27th meeting between the two national teams since the rivalry began in 1994.
The match falls during the club’s 150th anniversary season. Team USA will field its top players against a Jamaican squad the club describes as bringing scoring depth and big-game experience.
“The rivalry has history, the players bring tremendous skill, and the atmosphere always takes on a life of its own,” said Dan Keating, founder and president of Newport Polo.
Visit Jamaica is giving away a four-day, three-night stay for two at Princess Senses The Mangrove, an adults-only beachfront resort in Green Island, Hanover, near Negril. One attendee will be drawn.
Tickets are at NewportPolo.com.
