RIPTA’s Route 67, which runs along Bellevue Avenue and serves Salve Regina University, returns to its fall and winter schedule Saturday, Aug. 29, with trips every 30 minutes throughout the day.
The route remains free to ride through Oct. 31, courtesy of Discover Newport.
The change is part of RIPTA’s fall service adjustments, which the agency makes three times a year in response to seasonal demand. Two other routes see minor timing changes: Route 13 in Coventry shifts a morning outbound trip five minutes later to allow transfers from Route 22, and Route 14’s 5:35 p.m. outbound trip moves to 5:40.
Bus service to Providence public schools also resumes for the academic year.
Riders are encouraged to check updated schedules. Information is at RIPTA.com or 401-781-9400.
