William “Bill” A. Kopelcheck, 68, of Jamestown, RI passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut, Bill spent his childhood summers in Westbrook, where he enjoyed time at the beach with his parents, the late William T. and Joanne Kopelcheck, and his late brother, Jonathan Kopelcheck. He attended Roger Williams University before earning his degree from the University of South Florida.
Bill made his home in Jamestown, Rhode Island, where he raised his two beloved sons, William and Christopher, with Margaret “Peggy” Finkle Kopelcheck. He enjoyed a long and successful career in software sales and consulting, including more than a decade leading his own firm, Labyrinth Business Solutions.
Outside of work, Bill cherished life on the island and found joy in windsurfing, sailing, golfing, listening to music, sharing great food and wine with family and friends, and taking in the natural beauty that surrounded him. A devoted sports fan, he spent his sons’ early years cheering them on at hockey rinks, lacrosse fields, and golf courses. In later years, he enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins and Miami Dolphins, often sharing those moments with family.
Bill is survived by his son William Kopelcheck, his wife, Blair, and their children, Beatrice, Axel, and Gus; and by his son Christopher Kopelcheck and his wife, Meg.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His warmth, laughter, and zest for life touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
