Chris Monti Band (contributed)

The Chris Monti Band will play a summer concert at The Meeting House in Tiverton Four Corners on Saturday, Aug. 22.

The show starts at 7 p.m., with doors at 6:30 p.m., at 3850 Main Road. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Organizers strongly encourage buying ahead, though door entry is available if capacity allows. Advance tickets are at FourCornersArts.org.

Monti’s songwriting draws on American folk, pre-war blues, roots music and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. He is joined by bassist Mary Ballou on electric and upright bass and vocals, and drummer Grant Smith, whose credits include work with Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma and the Klezmer Conservatory Band.

Thirty percent of ticket proceeds go toward Four Corners Arts Center community programming and art events. More on Monti is at chrismonti.com.
