Sakonnet Vineyard will host an interactive murder mystery dinner event this Saturday, July 11, giving guests the chance to channel their inner detective while sipping wine at New England’s oldest vineyard.
“Whodunit?: Murder on the Petulant Express,” presented by WatermelonAlligator Theatre Co., is set aboard a 1930s luxury train and tasks guests with solving the sudden death of tech titan Peter Petulant. Players must cross-examine a passenger list of rich, famous, and highly irritated suspects to crack the case.
The event is a partnership with the Little Compton Community Center. Tickets are $50 per person and include a first glass of wine; light fare will also be served. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the vineyard, located at 162 W. Main Road. It is open to guests 18 and older, with a 21-plus bar.
Founded in 1975, Sakonnet Vineyard spans 169 acres in Little Compton and has been recognized as Best Vineyard by Boston Magazine’s New England Travel Awards and Yankee magazine.
Tickets are available at sakonnetwine.com.
