The Firehouse Theater has unveiled its summer 2026 schedule, featuring programming for audiences of all ages from the Newport comedy venue.

Every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., The Bit Players, billed as Rhode Island’s most award-winning comedy group, will take the stage for their fast-paced short-form improv show.

In addition to the weekend shows, the theater will produce family-friendly performances and late-night 10 p.m. shows on select dates throughout the summer. The schedule also features storytelling nights from Tell Newport, a live jam with NEMO (New England Music Organization) and special stand-up shows from Andrew Mayer and Conor Janda.

The June schedule includes NEE Jam on June 1 and June 15 at 7:30 p.m., Tell Newport on June 4 at 8 p.m., Late Night Bits on June 20 at 10 p.m. and Family Friendly Funnies on June 27 at 6 p.m., along with The Bit Players each Friday and Saturday.

July highlights include Tell Newport on July 2 at 8 p.m., an Andrew Mayer stand-up show on July 12 at 8 p.m., Late Night Bits on July 18 at 10 p.m., Conor Janda stand-up shows on July 23 at 7 and 9 p.m. and Family Friendly Funnies on July 25 at 6 p.m.

In August, the lineup features NEE Jam on Aug. 3 and Aug. 17 at 7:30 p.m., Tell Newport on Aug. 6 at 8 p.m., Late Night Bits on Aug. 22 at 10 p.m. and Family Friendly Funnies on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m.
