The Bark & Boogie Set for April 11 to Benefit the Potter League for Animals (Potter League for Animals)

The Potter League for Animals will host The Bark & Boogie, a spring fundraising gala, on Saturday, April 11, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa.

Presented by the Lola Ruth Giving Fund, the cocktail-style event will feature craft cocktails, food, live music from World Premier Band, and dancing. Organizers describe the evening as having a speakeasy flair.

Tickets are $125 per person and are available at barkandboogie.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Proceeds will benefit the Potter League’s programs, which include pet adoption, veterinary care, behavior and training services, humane education and community support programs. The organization serves more than 13,000 animals each year.

“The Bark & Boogie is a celebration of what this community makes possible,” said Brad Shear, CEO of the Potter League for Animals. “It’s a night where people can come together, have fun, and directly support the animals who rely on us every day.”

Founded in 1929, the Potter League for Animals is based in Middletown and operates facilities there and at a spay and neuter clinic in Warwick. The organization describes itself as Rhode Island’s most comprehensive animal welfare organization.
