Welcoming a new baby brings excitement, anticipation, and plenty of questions. To help parents feel informed and supported as they prepare for birth, South County Health is offers free childbirth education classes, now available to families in the Newport area.
These sessions are designed to give expectant parents the knowledge and confidence they need as they approach delivery and the early days of caring for a newborn.
Classes for Newport-area families are held at the Newport County YMCA and led by Victoria Gatling, BSN, RN, IBCLC, an experienced childbirth and breastfeeding educator. These welcoming sessions provide a supportive space for parents to learn, ask questions, and connect with others. Whether you’re expecting your first child or adding to your family, the classes offer practical guidance grounded in expert care.
