Newport Restaurant Group will host two holiday events at its Rhode Island restaurants this month, including a toy drive in Tiverton and a breakfast with Santa in Newport.
The Boat House in Tiverton will partner with the Tiverton Police Department for Operation: Blue Santa, the department’s annual holiday toy drive, on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive complimentary appetizers. A cash bar will be available, with a portion of the proceeds going to the toy drive.
This is the fifth year the Boat House has participated in the program. According to Newport Restaurant Group, the event has collected hundreds of toys, including more than $1,200 worth donated by the restaurant.

The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar in Newport will host Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 21, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The buffet will include French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, cider and hot cocoa. Each child will receive a takeaway gift.
