From Table to Table: 42nd Annual Taste of Newport Helps Bring Thanksgiving Meals to Rhode Island Families(via Child & Family)

The 42nd annual Taste of Newport returns Sunday evening, bringing together the city’s top restaurants and chefs for one of its most beloved culinary traditions while raising funds to provide Thanksgiving meals for Rhode Island families facing food insecurity.

The event, hosted by Child & Family, will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa. This year’s fundraising campaign comes as rising food prices and potential cuts to federal SNAP benefits put increasing strain on households struggling to afford basic groceries.

“Taste of Newport is a celebration of food, generosity, and community,” said Susan Jacobsen, president and CEO of Child & Family. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who helps turn this event into hope for families across Rhode Island.”

Guests will enjoy samplings from local restaurants, fine wines and live entertainment throughout the evening. Donations raised will help ensure hundreds of families can gather for a warm holiday meal this Thanksgiving.

Tickets and donations are available online. Those unable to attend can also donate and bid on auction items.
