22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille will host Italian winemaker Stefano Gagliardo for a five-course wine-pairing dinner Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Gagliardo, owner and winemaker of Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, will present wines from his family’s Piedmont winery alongside dishes prepared by Executive Chef Justin Garcia. The dinner costs $185 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The menu pairs Italian-influenced courses with five Gagliardo wines, including two Barolos. Dishes include a raw bar selection with Gagliardo Vermentino, Brussels sprout salad, veal tonnato, truffle lasagnette and Wagyu ribeye.

Poderi Gianni Gagliardo operates in La Morra in Italy’s Piedmont region. The winery, now in its sixth generation, produces Barolo, Barbera, Nebbiolo and other wines from vineyards in the Langhe and Roero areas.

The restaurant is located on Bowen’s Wharf in Newport Harbor. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 401-841-8884 or through OpenTable. Space is limited, and the restaurant cannot accommodate dietary substitutions, though it will address allergies.

22 Bowen’s is part of Newport Restaurant Group, an employee-owned company operating 16 restaurants in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
