The Rogers High School Vikings mounted a spirited comeback Tuesday night but ultimately fell to visiting Narragansett in a thrilling four-set volleyball match at Rogers High School.

After falling behind 2-0 in the opening sets, the Vikings (1-2) showed tremendous resilience by rallying to win the third set 28-26 in dramatic fashion. The back-and-forth battle showcased both teams’ determination, with neither side able to pull away decisively.

Narragansett controlled the early momentum, taking the first two sets to put Rogers in a difficult position. However, the Vikings refused to fold under pressure and delivered their best performance of the night in the crucial third set.

The extended third set became the match’s defining moment, with both teams trading points in a nail-biting finish. Rogers finally broke through with clutch plays down the stretch to extend the match and energize the home crowd.

Despite the momentum shift, Narragansett regrouped in the fourth set to close out the victory and improve their record. The Mariners demonstrated the experience and composure needed to finish strong after Rogers’ comeback threat.

Several Rogers players delivered standout performances throughout the match, contributing key points and defensive plays that kept the Vikings competitive against a quality opponent. The young Vikings squad showed significant improvement and fighting spirit despite the loss.
