Sophomore sensation Kaia Cutter delivered a masterful performance Tuesday afternoon, scoring three goals to lead the Rogers High School Vikings to a 4-2 victory over Tiverton at Braga Park.

The Vikings controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, racing out to a commanding 3-1 halftime lead behind Cutter’s explosive offensive display. The No. 7 forward found the back of the net twice in the first half, while teammate Charlotte Rochelle (No. 11), also a sophomore, added another goal to put Rogers in firm control.

Tiverton managed to keep pace early thanks to midfielder Tori Murray (No. 11), who converted a first-half opportunity to prevent the Vikings from completely running away with the match before intermission.

The second half saw Cutter complete her hat trick with another well-taken goal, capping off a stellar individual performance that showcased the young forward’s growing confidence and finishing ability.

Tiverton showed resilience in the final stages, with captain Olivia Costa (No. 13) finding the net late in the second half to cut into the Rogers lead. However, the Vikings’ early dominance proved too much to overcome for the visiting squad.

The victory represents a bounce-back performance for Rogers under head coach Shea Milburn, who saw her team respond positively after their season-opening setback. With assistant Caeli Palmer providing guidance from the sideline, the Vikings demonstrated improved chemistry and attacking fluidity.

For Tiverton, head coach Jim Gauch and assistant Tommy Murray will look to build on the positives from Costa and Murray’s goal-scoring efforts as they continue to search for their first win of the campaign.

Rogers returns to action looking to build momentum off this impressive offensive showing, while Tiverton will regroup and focus on finding more consistent attacking threats beyond their veteran leaders.

With the victory, Rogers improves to 1-1 overall while Tiverton falls to 0-3 in the early portion of the 2025 season.
