The Four Hearts Foundation is proud to announce “Portsmouth Strong”, a community fundraiser event taking place on Tuesday, July 22 at 5:30 PM at Green Valley Country Club. They have graciously provided the venue and food for a community sphaghetti dinner. This heartfelt evening will raise critical funds to support the victims of the recent tragedy at the Portsmouth Portuguese American Citizens Club, and offer healing, hope, and remembrance for two local families whose lives have been forever changed.
Half of the funds raised will go directly to help Aaron Delgado, a 17-year-old who remains in the ICU after the incident. Since that devastating night, Aaron has undergone four surgeries and faces a long and uncertain road to recovery. Aaron is known and loved for her infectious smile, her bold spirit, and her passion for color guard and the dance team—where she formed lifelong friendships. Family and friends are everything to her, and this event is a reminder that her community stands behind her. Funds will help ease the financial burden of her medical care and recovery, showing Aaron and her family that she’s not alone and that Portsmouth stands strong with her.
The other half of the proceeds will honor the life of Kelly Nicole Nevitt, who tragically lost her life during the same incident. Plans are underway to establish a scholarship in Kelly’s name, ensuring her light continues to shine for years to come. Kelly lived boldly and joyfully—her laughter, kindness, and spirit touched everyone around her. A talented performer with the Newport Children’s Theater, she loved spending time with friends, family, and her beloved pets, Pearl and Diva. Above all, she shared a once-in-a-lifetime bond with her mother, Sharon, whose love was the center of her world.
