The Providence Tattoo Convention is set to make a splash at the Rhode Island Convention Center from August 1-3, 2025. This event promises to be a treat for tattoo enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike.
A highlight of the convention will be a tribute to Newport’s tattoo history. Marilyn Mott, daughter of the late Buddy Mott, a Newport tattoo artist who left his mark on the industry for nearly six decades, is bringing a replica of her father’s 1970s tattoo booth. She’ll be there to sell artwork and sign copies of her book, “Buddy’s Tattoo Shop – Keeping America Beautiful.”

Tattoo artists from across the nation and even as far as Aruba will be showcasing their skills, offering live tattoos and piercings throughout the weekend. The convention hosts, Jeff and Jessica Burt, are thrilled to bring this vibrant event back to Providence.
Two local artists who’ve made waves on Paramount’s ‘Ink Master’ will be in attendance. Dani Ryan, a Warren-based artist who clinched second place in season 12, and LT from East Providence, a season 5 contestant, will be there to meet fans and share their expertise.
The convention isn’t just about tattoos. Attendees can look forward to daily tattoo contests, sideshows, burlesque performances, live music, and a pinup pageant. For those looking to hone their craft, there will be seminars available for artists to enhance their skills.
Jeff Burt encourages everyone to join in, saying, “Whether you’re a tattoo artist, art lover, tattoo collector, or just curious about tattooing and want to have a good time, come join us at the Rhode Island Convention Center August 1-3.”
