Newport Restaurant Group (NRG) today (May 29) announced that they will open J.T. Commons in the former Foodlove Market space (1037 Aquidneck Ave.) in Middletown.

“Anchored by an exciting and extensive pizza program and a menu that celebrates everyday favorites, J.T. Commons will offer year-round dining featuring a large bar and casual dining room with plenty of space to talk, watch the game, and catch up,” Newport Restaurant Group says in a press release. “Private dining will be offered for events large and small, and seasonal al fresco dining will be available on the patio”.

According to Newport Restaurant Group, J.T. is in homage to J.T. O’Connell, a “legendary Newport businessman and founder of what is now known today as Newport Restaurant Group”.

Newport Restaurant Group’s Foodlove Market permanently closed on January 25, after three years.

The restaurant is scheduled to open its doors this fall.  For updates, visit www.jtcommonsrestaurant.com and Instagram.
