Newport Live and Norman Bird Sanctuary are teaming up again for their fifth annual Summer Series, showcasing talented singer-songwriters Laura Cantrell, Jeffrey Foucault, and Leslie Mendelson.
The outdoor concerts will happen at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, Rhode Island.
Laura Cantrell opens the series on June 20, with Jeffrey Foucault performing on July 18, and Leslie Mendelson wrapping things up on Aug. 29.
Kaity Ryan, Executive Director of the Norman Bird Sanctuary, says, “We’re thrilled to have Newport Live back for another summer. These concerts really show how well nature and culture can blend together in inspiring ways.”
Dick Lynn, who heads Newport Live, is excited about the lineup. “We’ve got three amazing artists whose music really fits with what Newport Live is all about,” he explains.
On top of the Summer Series, Newport Live is bringing John Gorka back to Greenvale Vineyards on July 11, after his packed show there last summer.
Laura Cantrell is promoting her new album “Just Like A Rose: The Anniversary Sessions,” which marks her 20 years in country music.
Jeffrey Foucault has a new album called “THE UNIVERSAL FIRE” coming out in September 2024.
Leslie Mendelson’s upcoming album “After The Party” features work with some well-known musicians and producers.
