22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille will host an elegant four-course wine dinner on Wednesday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m., featuring the acclaimed wines of DuMOL. Mariette Catelli, East Coast Regional Sales Manager at DuMOL, will be on hand to lead guests through each of the wine selections.
Guests will begin with a Caviar Waffle with crème fraiche, shallot, preserved egg yolk, and chive, paired with a 2024 DuMOL Rosé of Pinot Noir, full of red summer berry and citrus tones with lively watermelon elements and vibrant tangy acidity.
A dish of Peas & Prosciutto with sweet pea panna cotta, pea and mint purée, crispy prosciutto, radicchio, and Habanada oil will follow, complemented by the 2023 DuMOL Charles Heintz ‘Isobel’ Chardonnay, a wine that perfectly combines intense botanical coastal characters and grassy, fresh aromas.
The third course will feature Chicken Roulade made with Murray’s chicken breast rolled with local Rhode Island vegetables, Cato Corners celeste, onion jus, and leek jam paired with the deep and fruity 2023 DuMOL MacIntyre Pinot Noir. One of the highlights of the entire vintage, this red offsets the fruit-forward introduction with delicate floral tones and mineral freshness.
The evening’s final course will be a Venison Tenderloin with cauliflower purée, root vegetables, ramp tops, and blackberry gastrique accompanied by the wildly aromatic, deep and vivid 2014 DuMOL Jack Robert’s Run Syrah.
The cost is $175 per person; tax and gratuity are additional. Space is limited, and substitutions regarding dietary restrictions cannot be made, but allergies will be accommodated.
