Other inductees include Greg Fisher, a 25-time champion across seven sailing classes; Chuck Hawley, a key figure in maritime safety and education; and Ken Read, a two-time Rolex Yachtsman of the Year with over 50 titles to his name.
The class also celebrates renowned boat designers Alfred “Bill” Luders Jr., Bruce King, John Reichel, and Carl Schumacher.
Olympic gold medalist James “Sham” Hunt, who led O’Day Yachts in producing more than 50,000 boats, makes history as part of the first father-son duo to be inducted, following his father C. Raymond Hunt.
Newport, home to The Sailing Museum & National Sailing Hall of Fame, will host the induction ceremony.
